Find and organize devices
The dashboard has five sections in the sidebar: Devices, Deployments, Alerts, Activity and Settings.
The device list
Section titled “The device list”Devices lists every device in your workspace with its status, network, resources, agent version and when it was last seen. Select a row to open that device.
The cards at the top count devices that are Online, Offline and Needs attention. Select a card to filter the list. Notices above the list link to open alerts and to an agent rollout in progress.
To narrow the list:
- Type in the filter box to match a name, ID, tag or network.
- Choose a status or a tag.
- Group by tag or by model, and sort by name, status or last seen.
Each filter appears as a chip above the list. Remove a chip to clear that filter, or select Clear all.
To find anything from anywhere, press Cmd+K (macOS) or Ctrl+K and search for devices, tags, people or activity.
Tags group devices, for example office, meeting-room or camera. You can
filter and group by them, and roll out agent updates
to one tag at a time.
- A device can have up to 10 tags.
- Tags use lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores.
To change tags, open the device, go to Settings, then select Add tags or Edit tags. Clear the field to remove all tags. You can also add tags when you set up a device.
The device page
Section titled “The device page”Open alerts for the device appear under its name. The page has three tabs:

To rename a device, select the pencil icon next to its name. The new name
also appears on the device itself, in the Suta prompt and the suta summary.
It doesn’t change the Pi’s hostname.
Connection shows Wi-Fi and Ethernet separately, with each link’s addresses and gateway. System shows the hostname, operating system, uptime, memory, storage and CPU temperature as last reported by the device.
Links and bookmarks
Section titled “Links and bookmarks”Every page has its own URL, such as /devices/<id> or /alerts/history. You
can bookmark and share them, and they survive refreshes and sign-in. Your
chosen workspace is remembered in your browser, not in the URL.
Light and dark mode
Section titled “Light and dark mode”Use the theme control at the bottom of the sidebar to switch between system, light and dark. Your choice is saved in your browser.
