Remove a device

1. Open the device and go to the Settings tab.

2. Select Remove device, then Remove and revoke access.

The device disappears from your device list and can no longer contact Suta. Its software and data stay on the Pi; Suta doesn’t erase it. To see removed devices, select Removed on the Devices page.

Caution

A removed device’s identity can’t be added again. To bring it back, give it a new identity using one of the options below.

Add a removed device again

• Pi with an existing OS: in an SSH session on the device, run the installer and answer y when asked Reinstall as a new device?

  curl -fsSL https://suta.dev/install.sh | bash

  Then open the registration link to approve the new identity. Remote access and monitoring start off again.

• Pi using the Suta image: reflash the SD card and set it up again.

Reflashing a device you didn’t remove

Reflashing always creates a new identity. The old entry stays in your device list, offline, until you remove it.
